The Jacksonville Business Journal has awarded Continuwell CEO Charu Raheja, PhD, as one of the 2017 Women of Influence. Only 17 women were selected from a record number of nominations. These 17 women have been selected for their impact on the First Coast community and for their work in business.Driven by her entrepreneurial spirit, and the need to make health and wellness accessible and affordable, Charu co-founded the TriageLogic Group about 10 years ago. The TriageLogic brand is part of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and it covers over 18 million lives nationwide. Most recently she used her experience in overcoming a health scare to launch the Continuwell Brand.
Charu has received various awards and acknowledgments over the years. She is one of the recipients of the 2017 Enterprising Women of the Year Award and the 2011 National Association of Professional Women VIP Woman of the Year Award. Charu is also a finalist for the 2017 Ernst and Young Winning Women Award.
In addition to the TriageLogic Group, Charu is on the national board of directors of Community Health Charities, where she serves on the Corporate Governance and Finance Committees and she chairs the Audit Committee. She is involved in several non-profits, including Women Giving Alliance and CISV International. Charu is a brain AVM survivor and she coordinates a patient support group , awareness and fundraising for Aneurysm and AVM survivors. She also regularly contributes articles and blogs on brain health.
Prior to the TriageLogic group, Charu taught finance and valuation to MBAs and executives at Vanderbilt University and Wake Forest University. Charu is an expert on project and firm valuation, and her award-winning research and publications have influenced corporate policy and regulation. Charu has presented and discussed policy and corporate value in several highly regarded organizations, such as Harvard University, Princeton University, and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Bank.
For over 10 years, the annual Women of Influence awards have honored women in the Jacksonville area who use their success as leaders in business and the community. These influential women come from a variety of backgrounds and are all role models for women across the First Coast. Charu was honored with these women at an awards ceremony on Tuesday August 22.
